About Ziah
I’m Ziah McKinney, a patient advocate, full-spectrum birth doula, breastfeeding consultant, and childbirth educator dedicated to helping diverse families navigate the journey into parenthood with confidence. Through compassionate support and evidence-based education, I empower parents to make informed decisions and feel prepared for birth and beyond.
As a Full Spectrum Doula trained through Birthing Advocacy Doula Training (BADT), a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA), an Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class Instructor, and a SAFE IYCF-E Breastfeeding Consultant, I support people through fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, pregnancy loss, and abortion. My approach is grounded in accessibility, informed consent, curiosity, and collaboration because I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, respected, and empowered to make the decisions that are right for them.
I believe everyone deserves to approach pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with enthusiasm instead of fear, and dignity at the center of every decision. Whether you are growing your family through fertility treatment, expecting your first baby, planning a VBAC, navigating disability or chronic illness, or simply looking for a supportive guide, my work begins with one question- What makes you feel dignified and safe? Your answer becomes the foundation for everything I help you navigate.
I have a passion for supporting Disabled, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and BIPOC families, and I welcome anyone looking for compassionate, evidence-based, inclusive care. I believe birth works best when we replace rigid expectations with trust, flexibility, evidence, and selecting care teams that believe in genuine partnership. My goal is simple- to help you feel dignified, informed, supported, and confident as you welcome your baby, whatever your journey looks like.

Ziah’s Testimonials:
“Ziah kept my panic at bay in between my contractions. She was caring, generous, and helped me put things in perspective while I felt lost being surrounded by doctors and hospital staff who were too busy to care for my emotional and psychological needs.” - Melina
“I am so grateful I had Ziah during my pregnancy and labor - she presented so much great information and resources to inform the decisions I was going to make about my birthing plan. Ziah was amazing support during the birth and I couldn’t have imagined it without her! She will be your best advocate and create so much comfort in your space.” - Chelsea
